About

Michael Dabels

Political and policy intelligence for Alberta and western Canada.

Michael spent more than twenty years as a Canadian Army infantry officer, including setting training standards. That work taught him to read a situation fast, cut it down to what matters, and brief people who have to act on it. He now works full-time on Damocles Edge.

Damocles Edge brings that discipline to politics and policy. Michael holds a degree in political science and builds riding-level intelligence and policy explainers on Alberta and British Columbia. Every figure is traced to its source, and every brief ends with what it means for you.

Set a standard. Brief the situation. Make the team able to act without waiting to be told.
