1. What we collect

When you sign up for the free weekly Top 3, we store:

• your email address;
• that you ticked the consent box, the wording you agreed to and the date and time;
• the page you signed up from;
• your browser type, and a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address, used only to block spam and repeated sign-up attempts.

For paid subscribers to any member plan, we also keep your name and the details needed to invoice you. We don’t use advertising trackers or sell any data.

2. How we use it

Only to send you what you signed up for, to keep a record of your consent, to invoice paid subscribers and to keep the sign-up form free of spam. We don’t sell, rent or share your information, except where the law requires it.

3. Where it’s stored

Sign-ups are stored in a database in our own Cloudflare account. Cloudflare may process and store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Email we send and receive goes through our Google Workspace account. No outside email-marketing service has your address.

This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These tools may set cookies and collect basic, non-identifying usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

4. Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time. Email michael.dabels@damoclesedge.com with “unsubscribe” in the subject, or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We remove you within 10 business days, usually much sooner.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up while you’re subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we delete your email from the list, though we may keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again. Spam-protection data is kept for no more than a day, apart from the hashed value stored with your sign-up.

6. Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email michael.dabels@damoclesedge.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

7. Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date above.
